Herne bay 4s v Burnt ash 4s
As most of you know the day started with the panic of diverting everyone round to the second entrance of the estate.
With the oppo arriving before the 4s as they knew about the new route into the club they decided they would take the home dugout and divert us into the other dugout and another end of the pitch.
With a brief warmup hosted by Al the 4s were ready to go, both teams finding their feet the Bay youngsters proving they were the better compared to the oppo allowing some flowing passing and an early goal from J.Nash.
With the early lead, some substitutions and the youngsters being called pillar to post Bay lost their form and with a couple of short corners Burnt ash got lucky with a deflection off of JBs foot to equalise.
Bay sorted themselves out and weathered the attacks, with continued good movement from Owen, he found himself in on goal before the keeper said no but at the cost of a P flick due to the dodgy challenge. Upsteps McVey and showed us how to do a P push and slots it into the bottom corner to make it 2-1 with minutes left.
Bay then found a gear they have been missing for a few games upping the tempo and keeping out the oppo, diverting every ball away even down to the last action of a short when Malley managed to divert the last short corner shot with stick/foot/shin? The umpire said stick and with that Bay managed to get the win.
Great game by all and Jay managed to do the report without mentioning tattoos.
MotM Jake for the great keeping again although the youngsters were worthy to this week.
DotD Alfie Forbes for not coming to watch again. Although probably should have been me as I passed to the oppo as much as I did the team.
