Ladies 1 Xl vs Gore Court

After a minor loss against Knole Park before half term, Herne Bay were looking to come back with a win.
We started the first half with Sophie C scoring within 2 minutes. This encouraged the Bay to play a more attacking game and Lucy M put a p roller past the keeper for our 2nd goal. Sophy F then rounded out the first half with our 3rd goal.
HALF TIME 3-0

The halftime talk was nothing but positive and we decided that because we were winning would shift around our formation to have three people upfront.
Things really started to pick up in the second half with our “forward first” thinking and the goals went as follows:
5 mins - Sophy F
8 mins - Lucy M
18 mins - Sophy F
21 mins - Sophy F
23 mins - Lucy M
30 mins - Sophie C
35 mins - Lucy M
Other highlights from the second half include Rachel tracking back while shouting “ahhh I’m not quick enough!” And the umpires whistle being so bad Lisa commented that it was probably from a Christmas cracker.
FINAL SCORE 10-0

Shout out to Sally for coming up with us and having an awesome game!!
MOM - Abbie B (Sophie Ch-Ch-Chalk was a close second with her first goal for the ladies 1 XI)
DOD - Phil M for her famous last words “5 minutes left half, easy” (I’ll get the goal next time)
